The Last 700 Metres
photo story in development

The Last 700 Metres is a long-term visual investigation into the uncertain future of one of Brazil’s rarest amphibians, Melanophryniscus admirabilis. The species is found nowhere else on Earth except a single 700-meter stretch of riverbank in southern Brazil — a fragile habitat deeply affected by the catastrophic floods that impacted nearly the entire state of Rio Grande do Sul in 2024.
